Hollywood-born musician/singer/songwriter goes rap.  Grandson of accomplished Big Band and film arranger/composer, Lyle "Spud" Murphy, James spent his formative years in San Pedro and counts Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ice Cube, and Jim Croce as his musical influences but this record illustrates James has developed a style all his own.
