Bill Creel Laugh some ...
cry some
Born in Dothan, Alabama, this Leo has always
loved the limelight and being onstage.
Armed with his first Sears Silvertone guitar at
the age of 14, Bill Creel proceeded to drive his
sisters crazy playing the same thing over and
over again through that learning process which
eventually led him to form his own high school
band. Throughout his career in the Coast
Guard, his college education at the University
of South Florida after retiring from the CG, his
subsequent second career as a high school
science teacher, and finally his third career,
on the high seas again with The Merchant Marine,
Bill always seemed to find himself onstage
somewhere with various bands on the weekends.
Being a musician/performer at heart, songwriting
was a logical progression and his background in
music and electronics gave him the tools he
needed to produce and record his own music.
With leanings toward traditional country and 50s
and 60s rock'n'roll, the results are a smooth
vocal style and songs in tune with America's
older generations.
